The babies are weaned at around 8 weeks, I'm pretty sure we can take them to Petco if we haven't found them homes yet and they will find them a home.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">OH noooooooooo never Petco! Please! Thats like the worst of the worst.

But anyway, cute baby bunnies! Not much of a bunny person myself. Too timid, well most I've met. hahaha I mostly a cat and reptile person. hehe I kind of giggled at your comment. My snake is no where near being big enough to eat a rabbit. Tho yeah my rat had babies once and we took the last remaining baby to the pet store and the store sold him as a feeder right in front of me I was so upset.

Anyway good luck with the babies and can't wait to see them with fur. Oh and do you have the parents figured out? heh like who's the male and so on. hmmm I think thats a dumb question.

Tracy, lol!!!

Put an add in a paper for FREE Home for the Bunnies.

Also, you can neuter Mickey at a local Vets that does exotic animals! Trust me, no big deal surgery! seen it done numberous times.

I would highly recommend NOT taking them to a pet store. I agree that you should try to give them to a family who wants one of them, or both, knowing that they will go to a good home. Who knows, you may decide to keep them! Lol. Ash. I have two guinea pigs and I'm glad that our "checking" to see what gender they were was correct (lucky us), or else we, too, would have awoken to unexpected pups. Sorry about the previous owner not getting the gender checked out very well; even at the vet! I hope all turns out well!

Please, please, no ad for free bunnies! Rabbits are so expensive and snake owners like to give their snakes a live treat as a change from frozen mice. As already mentioned here, free rabbits in the newspaper classifieds are liable to end up as snake food. And of course the snake's owner will come to you and tell you how much they will love the rabbits and be a good caretaker. Most snake owners get their snakes frozen food since it's too expensive to purchase live food, so they appreciate the chance to offer their pet a more challenging meal. While some of us here are "furry animal people," there are people who care about their snakes just as much as we care for our fluffy friends.

The best way to get rid of ANY unwanted pet is to first check with your friends, people you trust and know will make excellent pet owners and care for the animals in the way you want them to be cared for. I still regret deeply the fact that when I found four kittens my parents forced me to take them to a shelter. I have no doubt what happened to them there.

It's always better when you can handle these things without a "middle man." That way you know exactly what happens to the pets, because trust me, you will fall in love with them and ultimately regret ANY decision that keeps you from being able to see what happens to them!

Guess what? My mom was there and she now regrets what we did with the kittens. What does she wish we had done? Checked around with friends. The easy way out is the easy way out now, but later on you will definitely regret anything other than checking around with friends.
